2017 Summer Theater Camps at CYT Atlanta

CYT Summer Theater Camps offer an encouraging environment that trains students to appreciate, participate, and collaborate in the dramatic arts. On the first day, campers will be placed onto teams led by an energetic and compassionate camp counselor. Throughout the week, these teams bond by playing fun games, accomplishing team building exercises, and memorizing bible verses.  Every day, campers rotate through a series of theatrical workshops including Voice, Acting, Dance and Theater Tech.  Finally, campers rehearse material for a Showcase which is free and open to the public on the Friday of each camp week.  Join our CYT Family for Summer Theater Camps this summer.

Summer Show is an accelerated Summer theater camp that casts, rehearses and performs in two weeks! The show will feature new choreography, old beloved songs, and amazing costumes. This summer’s show, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr., is based on the original Broadway production that ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
